Merry Christmas from our family to yours! | Liverpool Portrait and Wedding Photographer

I'm decked out in the Christmas spirit these days and it all started with putting up our tree last weekend. Although I love the end result of all the holiday decor, I was not granted the gift of decorating as my sisters were. My Mother's tree and household decorations could win prizes in any interior design magazine.

It has come to be that nearly every Christmas I make a round of phone calls to my sisters and mother...mostly for moral support on finishing the darn tree. Either I have too many lights, or not enough...or they aren't spaced evenly...either way I'm always worried that I'm not doing it right. So, after some encouraging words from good ol' Mom, I stopped fussing over every detail and just had fun with it. And even though it may not look like it could be in a magazine (notice how it's not straight...haha!), I still had a good time doing it...and most important my son really enjoys it.

Below is a sneak peak into our life around here during the holidays. Last few weeks has dumped quite a lot of snow here in CNY and like most children, my son loved to play in the snow.

I hope everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit and enjoying it with family and friends. We want to wish you  a Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year...from our family to yours! :)

I had the pleasure to photograph this guy, Jake, the other week. He is quite the athlete...quarterback of the football team, pitcher of the baseball team and he plays basketball too. He is also into cars, which is way cool because my husband and brother are major grease monkeys...soo, I can relate.

Chino | Motivational Speaker Headshots | Syracuse NY Portrait Photographer

This morning I had the privilege to meet Chino. He is a motivational speaker working to improve people's relationships and needed some photos taken for his upcoming promotional materials. Along with motivational speaking, he is currently working on a very special book and website. Although his website is not finished yet, you should definitely check out his stuff, it's good! Chino is a natural when it comes to the camera. Every session I try to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible. Sometimes being in front of a camera can be intimidating to people, so I usually try to talk to them and just catch them off guard smiling...bringing out their natural best. This is exactly what happened with our session today. I love my job!

This afternoon I had the honor to meet this handsome young fellow. Only 6 days old today, and already is breaking hearts...mine. Makes me want another baby...eventually.

Mr. J here couldn't decide whether or not he wanted to sleep or stay awake. He was a real trooper for his very first photo session of his life, don't you think?
