Into Memories Photography has officially launched its new wedding website! If you haven't already, please go and check it out. www.intomemories.com We are in the process of building a new portrait website, hopefully to be finished by the end of March. Our Last Wedding of 2009 | Katherine & Jerry - Part 1 | Shot in Linden, NJ | Syracuse NY Wedding Photographers

We had a fantastic way to end our 2009 wedding season--shooting a wedding 2 days after Christmas! Katherine and Jerry found us online and noticed we do travel for photography. So, the day after Christmas Laura and I traveled to Livingston, NJ to stay with relatives and prepare for our Christmas wedding the next day in Linden, NJ.

We have never shot a Christmas-themed wedding before, and it was so beautiful! Katherine and Jerry opted to also have "before wedding" photos done. They were able to see each other and have some sweet moments just the two of them before their wedding. This has become a new feature in modern weddings we don't normally see in CNY, but we really welcomed this new event in this couple's wedding.

One of the highlights for us at the reception was the beautifully choreographed first dance with Katherine and Jerry. They did such a great job...it made me tear up! These two are such a loving and caring couple, and we are so thankful for the honor to share in your magical wedding day.

We had a great time with the fun bridal party, daggers, nerf guns and all. (Another first for us!) We loved how all of your personalities shined through in helping to make this day so special for Katherine and Jerry.

Thanks again for allowing us to capture your special day. We hope you have a wonderful honeymoon and best wishes for a long and happy marriage!

2009 was a fantastic year for Into Memories Photography. Not only did we meet the most amazing and fun-loving couples, but we had a lot of exciting changes ourselves.

1 - Laura got engaged! Our heartfelt congratulations go out to Laura and her fiance', Ken. We're looking forward to shooting their wedding and engagement/bridal sessions next summer!

2 - New look for blog. We love our newly updated blog and soon to come will be our new website to match our blog. We hope everyone is enjoying our blog as much as we are.

With Christmas looming just around the corner, we are quite busy here in CNY. But, with all the bustle I wanted to share with you a little preview of what is to come for our new website.

We're hoping to take our outdated website and bring a new, fresh and more modern look to it. This is mainly to reflect what has become our style of photo journalism in wedding and portrait photography.

Laurie and the Girls - Colorful Fall Portrait Photography

I was delighted when Laurie contacted me about doing some fall portraits with her two girls. Laurie and her husband's wedding was one of the weddings we shot when Into Memories was first starting out. We had a great time then, so I was very excited to see her again. Laurie suggested we go to the Erie Canal Park in Camillus, NY, and boy am I sure glad she did!

Now let me just say--aren't all of these girls gorgeous?! And their eyes...*sigh*...just beautiful. Once again, it was a blast working with them. You girls sure know how to rock the camera!

Without any more talk of how much I love photographing these girls, here are some sneak peak pictures from their fall portrait session. I have so many favorites from this session, but I had to narrow it down, so here are a few!

Comfort food on a snowy November day - Lifestyle Portrait Photographers, Liverpool NY

Today we woke up to the start of many a snow flurries here in CNY. What is the best thing for snowy, dreary November days?

Comfort food! You have to try this recipe if you love all things fall, especially the food.

Pumpkin Pie French Toast
(makes 4 servings)

Ingredients:
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/8 teaspoon cloves
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons brown sugar
8 slices of bread

Directions:
1. Mix the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, cloves,
nutmeg and brown sugar in low flat bowl for easy dipping.
2. Dip the bread into the egg mixture on both sides and grill in a pan
until lightly golden brown, about 2-3 minute per side.
3. Serve with REAL maple syrup (preferrably).
4. Snuggle up on the couch next to the fire and ENJOY!
